As a growing organisation, Forest Holidays needed to accommodate more staff members which provided the perfect opportunity to completely refurbish the office environment. An innovative interior design was needed to promote staff wellbeing and team work.

Part owned by the Forestry Commission this successful company builds log cabins in remote forest locations in the UK - fantastic holiday retreats. Their success meant that the converted warehouse in the National Forest no longer provided the office accommodation they required.  We were called in to design a proposal to improve space efficiency and fit out the remaining warehouse space and the adjacent, derelict boathouse. Our design was sensitive to the building and its immediate environment while at the same time developing the storage facility into high quality office space that gave the company the space they needed to grow.

Working closely with the directors, we developed a scheme which was bright and vibrant, whilst incorporating elements of nature.  The main reception wall is clad in stone, the soft seating fabrics have a leaf and bramble pattern, there are lots of real plants dotted around the space and the wall graphics and pictures all have a forest theme to them.  With an ever-growing workforce, challenges such as hot desking and formal/informal meeting spaces had to be factored in to the design, as well as providing a relaxing dining and breakout space for the staff.
